Installation guide for all these custom maps
The map(s) will embed into Garmin Mapsource, just like any other Garmin map.

Just run the installer you downloaded (after unzipping it if neccesary). it will guide you through the setup. You can accept all the defaults and it will work, or you can adjust pathnames and program groups if you want (and it will still work). If you want to uninstall the maps, just run the uninstaller included in the Start menu.

You can see the maps by accessing menu View, Switch To Product.

As an alternative, you can use Sendmap (you can download it on the bottom of this page) to upload it to your Garmin GPS. Since Sendmap is not a product of mine, I do not support it.

 

Also note: none of the maps on this site are routable (except where explicitly mentioned so)! So, you can't automatically have the GPS follow the roads, but you get straight lines only! (N.B. the World Routable Basemap can't be transfered it to your GPS with Mapsource)

Please: if you use the mapset, give me feedback ( ) on how accurate it is and/or what you miss on the map. I prefer waypoints that give the accurate position of map objects or road crossings, but any comment is fine.
